187 Piece Tiffany Sterling Silver Flatware Service, Chrysanthemum, 1900s. Impressive place setting of Tiffany sterling flatware entitled Chrysanthemum. One of Tiffany's most popular and expensive designs originally issued in 1880 and designed by Charles Grosjean. The chrysanthemum was a favorite motif throughout the gilded age largely due to the influence of Japanese art combined with the elegant lines of Art Nouveau. Each handle is elegantly monogrammed with what we believe are the initials CHK, so elaborately scrolled, they appear almost as an elegant design element. Some pieces parcel-gilt, limited to spoons and some select serving pieces. Overall in excellent condition with evidence of use given the decades. 324 ounces sterling.
